Reservation & Cancellation Policy
Deposit:
The 50% deposit is non-refundable, however, the Hero has the right to refuse to attend any event and/or cancel at anytime and for any reason. If this is the case, the deposit will be fully refunded, with two exceptions.
EXCEPTIONS:
1. The Hero cannot perform in the rain. if it is raining at the location of the event and an indoor alternative location is not available, the The Hero may cancel and will not refund the deposit. In addition, full payment will be expected if it rains during your event and there is no alternative dry location available which will require The Hero to leave early. Please have a back up indoor location available in case of rain!
2. The Hero may also cancel and not refund the deposit during April - October (SEE BELOW), if there is no available cooled indoor location for the Hero to use to make his appearance.
Remaining Balance:
The remaining balance should be paid in cash on the day of the event at some point before The Hero leaves the event. To avoid risking spoiling the moment for young guests, The Hero recommends that the remaining cash payment be passed discretely to The Hero at the end of the event in an envelope.
Cancellation:
The 50% deposit is non-refundable, except as provided above, however, you may cancel the visit up to 48 hours before the event and be entitled to a refund of any portion already paid above the 50% deposit amount. Cancellations made within 48 hours of an event will require a payment of 50% of the total cost of the visit if made between 24- 48 hours before the event. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event will require a full 100% payment of the total cost of the visit.
April - October:
There is a reason why Batman sticks to fighting crime at night; it's cooler! :-) The Hero's costume is heavy, black, and non-breathable, which makes it very difficult to wear at just about any temperature. During the particularly hot months of April - October, for the safety of The Hero, The Hero will ONLY make appearances at events that have a cooled indoor space and will NOT perform outdoors.
November - March:
These are cooler months in Florida and The Hero should be able to make outdoor appearances during these months, if temperatures do not exceed 80 degrees. The Hero must have a shady spot available and cannot be out in the sun for more than a few minutes. Please note, The Hero reserves the right to refuse to attend any event and/or cancel at anytime and for any reason. If The Hero refuses to attend your event or cancels due to heat concerns during the months of November - March, your Deposit will be refunded back to you in full.
Travel Fees:
The Hero resides in Osprey, Florida. If your event is within from The Hero's home, there will be no additional travel fee. However, if your event is located further than 15 miles away from The Hero's home, there will be an additional $50 fee for each additional 15 miles of travel distance to your event. For example, if your event is located 25 miles away from The Hero's home, the first 15 miles are included in the flat fee cost and there will be one $50 travel fee charged for the remaining 10 miles. Cities The Hero travels to are listed on the Home page, but The Hero may choose to travel further. Please don't hesitate to ask!
